The EC provides budget assistance (about € 10 million per annum) to the Ministry of Finance, provided that agreed conditionalities are met. These conditionalities include meeting targets in the following sectors:

Other Food Security Programmes
Rural Enterprise and Small-scale Commercial Agriculture Development Project (RESCAD)
The World Bank is implementing this
four year $20 million project aimed at 'supporting the development of small and medium-scale rural businesses by improving the ability of farmers and rural entrepreneurs to access markets and by stimulating market-oriented private and public investments in rural areas'.

Millennium Challenge Account in Armenia
The Millennium Challenge Corporation approved a five-year, $235.65 million Compact with the Government of Armenia in December 2005. Activities will concentrate on rural road rehabilitation and improving irrigation.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
UNDP has implemented programmes in the fields of
social security
and rural poverty alleviation. It is also conducting a pro-poor assessment of agricultural strategies.
Rural Areas Economic Development Programme (RAEDP)
This is a $15 million
programme financed by IFAD aimed at
increasing sustainable employment and incomes among rural people in the mountain areas of seven marzes and stimulating sustained growth of rural enterprise activities.
