Programme Activities

Activities include:

	Supporting UNICEF, WHO and national institutions concerned with nutrition in developing a strategic framework for the formulation and implementation of nutrition related activities.
	Implementing a Crop Yield Forecasting System which will improve timeliness and accuracy of crop yield forecasts. > Crop Yield Forecasting Training
	Strengthening the capacity of national institutions to analyse food consumption data from the Lao Expenditure and Consumption Survey (LECS III). This includes producing reliable statistics for measuring progress in achieving targets established under the National Growth and Poverty Eradication Strategy (NGPES) and international initiatives such as the MDGs and the World Food Summit. > See related news article: Report on Food Insecurity in the Lao PDR Released
