organizing training and policy dialogue on land and farm reform policies in CIS and CEE countries and consolidating their results;

providing training in the concept and analysis of food security with the aim of mainstreaming food security in the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper and the National Development Plan;

improving the information and analysis in the quarterly Food Security and Poverty Information Bulletin to enhance its usefulness for policy making;

improving the analysis, design and methodology used in the household budget survey; and

providing training in compiling food balance sheets for national estimates of food availability.
