APERÇU

Résumé

Household income and expenditure surveys (HIES) or Household budget surveys (HBS) collect data relevant to food insecurity and poverty. The data collected are used to assess and monitor food security by determining:

- who the food insecure are;
- where they are located; and
- why they are food insecure.

The resulting analysis can be used for better targeted food policies and interventions, assessing the impact of specific policies and measuring progress towards targets for reducing food insecurity and poverty.

This training aims at building national capacity for analyzing data from the HIES/HBS related to food insecurity and poverty.

Location
Public cible

Objectifs - Improve the analytical capacity of national institutions responsible for assessing and monitoring food insecurity and poverty, in particular the NSC.
