Summary

The main focus of the workshop is to provide a holistic understanding of the complex nature of food and nutrition security. This will support the development of a cross-sectoral food security strategy in Tajikistan.

The training was organized by the EC-FAO Food Security Programme and InWent GmbH.

Target Audience

Professionals working to develop national development and poverty reduction strategies; academics with a stake in food security; advisors to sectoral strategy developers in various ministries;and statisticians from Goskomstat working in food security related areas.

Objectives

The workshop will provide a holistic understanding of the complex nature of food and nutrition security to facilitate:
- an adequate analysis of the situation in Tajikistan; and
- the development of a cross-sectoral food security strategy.
