EC/FAO Programme on information systems to improve food security decision-making in the European Neighborhood Policy East Area (2010–2012)

The Programme operates in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Republic of Moldova with a three-year budget of three million Euros.

It aims at improving food security by enhancing the capacity of national institutions to generate, analyse, and communicate high quality food security information for better policies and programmes.

It is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It is part of the EU Food Security Thematic Programme.

The “Improved Global Governance for Hunger Reduction” programme is funded by the European Union with additional resources provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The programme is managed by FAO and collaborates with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP)”
