The regional programme on " Linking information and decision making to improve food security for selected countries in the greater Mekong subregion" is part of the European Union’ s global food security thematic programme.

A workshop to launch the programme in Cambodia was held on 2 December 2009.

The main objectives of the workshop were to:

• Review the scope and expected outputs of the project on market information;  climate-induced agricultural disaster preparedness and risk mitigation; and chronic food insecurity and vulnerability assessments.
• Finalize the work plan of the project in consultation with key national stakeholders.
