Résumé

The training course was jointly organized by the Coordination Nationale de la Sécurité Alimentaire (CNSA), Ministry of Agriculture, Haiti and the EC-FAO Food Security Programme, in collaboration with FEWS NET.

The training provided food security analysts with the necessary skills and knowledge to produce more relevant, credible and accessible food security information products (FSIPs) that support decision-making.

Twenty-eight professionals from the main national and partner institutions and civil society organizations concerned with food security, working at central and decentralized levels, successfully completed this 5-day training course. Fourteen participants are based and contribute to the decentralized observatoires supported by CNSA.

Key informants and users were invited to present their information needs and make recommendations to participants on how FSIPs could better respond to those needs.

Participants prepared a Plan of Action aimed at producing more effective and efficient FSIPs to support the:
- formulation;
- implementation; and
- targeting of food security policies and interventions.
