Summary

The main objective of the round-table was to bring together  stakeholders who work in the area of market information systems and services. It was expected that the attendees would express their opinions and visions on the given topic and discuss the ways of improving the market information systems in Tajikistan.

The  discussion aimed at reviewing the current agricultural market information systems and services in Tajikistan, and the existing problems relating to information collection, analysis and dissemination. The discussion identified the constraints to and solutions for providing  timely and relevant information for food security decision making. It also aimed at identifying user needs and methodologies for data collection and analysis.

The round-table is one of the events for needs assessment activities for building modern and actionable agricultural market information system in Tajikistan.
