Summary

The EC-FAO programme is developing a set of tools called the climate change impact assessment toolbox.

A wide range of methods, models and software tools for assessing the impact of climate change on agriculture were explored and possibilities for integrating them were discussed.

Presentations included:
- Climate scenario downscaling;
- Hydrological and crop growth modelling;
- General Equilibrium model
- Statistical software tools;
- Database and IT solutions; and
- Training programme development
