The purpose of the Symposium is to increase awareness of policy makers and programmers of the benefits nutrition sensitive, food-based approaches have for improving dietsand raising levels of nutrition. Work on dietary diversity, funded through the EC-FAO Food Security Programme, was presented at the symposium.
