Myanmar Food Security Data Management Requirements Analysis and Technical Capacity Assessment

This report presents the findings of an International Data Management and GIS Consultant mission to Myanmar from 18 to 25 September 2010, under the EC Information and Decision Making to Improve Food Security”. The mission was a follow existing food security data management and GIS systems. It aimed at assessing country requirements and technical capacity for improved food security data management, analysis and information dissemination, through consultations with relevant institutions.

The “Improved Global Governance for Hunger Reduction” programme is funded by the European Union with additional resources provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The programme is managed by FAO and collaborates with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP)”
