Measuring Resilience – A Concept Note

1 Oct 2010,

The resilience tool provides a framework for understanding the most effective combination of short and long term strategies for lifting families out of cycles of poverty and hunger. By using this quantitative approach, decision makers can objectively target their actions and measure their results over time.

The “Improved Global Governance for Hunger Reduction” programme is funded by the European Union with additional resources provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The programme is managed by FAO and collaborates with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP)”
